Set of 1 x pegging awl handle with 4 x pegging awls. The handle is made from beech wood and comes with a leather ring to absorb the hammer blows. Pegging awls are needed to pre-punch the holes for wooden pegs. This is the traditional way to fix the outsole in the heel area and to fix separate heel layers. For some shoe constructions wooden pegs are also used in waist or to fix the whole outsole.
The pegging awls are new old stock and made by KING or RASCHE.
