Curious shoe last made of solid bronze. It´s a copy of a real last, as the proportions are more or less realistic. It would looks great on a desk and could be a useful paperweight.
It was most likely used for advertising purposes in the past, as the name and telephone number of a shoemaker are engraved on it, along with a slogan. "Leisten, Sie sich Motsch". That means loosely translated "Order shoes at Motsch". Motsch was the name of the shoemaker located in Pirmasens the former capital of shoemaking in Germany.
The last would also looks great in a vitrine or shop window display.
