Gum tragacanth is a traditional aid in the shoe finishing process and used mainly for the natural finish without using dye. The jelly tragacanth is hardening the leather and closes the leather pores after drying.
The listing comes with 100 gram tragacanth powder. The amount shown in the picture is only an example and is significantly less than 100 grams.
The jelly gum tragacanth is applied after rasping and sanding the sole edges, heel or shoe bottom. After a short time of drying, you can start to polish with irons, burnish with wood or just polish the sole bottom with a cloth.
About the making:
Give a small amount of tragacanth powder (about 5 gram) into 50 ml water, mix it and let it stay over night or day.
