Set of shoemaker awls in different sizes in new old stock conditions. The set includes:
- 1 x pegging awl with round point tip
- 1 x pegging awl with flat tip
- 3 x curved awls for welting
- 2 x square awls for stitching
The awls are New Old Stock and from King, Rasche, Maeder, Concordia or Schmitz.
IMPORTANT: As a rule, awls need to be sharpened before they are used for the first time. Triangular files are used for this. After, the awl tip should be polished with a leather strop and polishing compound. Welting awls are sharpened from the top and stitching awls from both sides. When working with awls, always make sure that they are waxed before sewing.
